...at the grocery store. Had no idea these existed, thought it was a Subaru Brat at first. Was too dark for a pic, but it looked a lot like this (only more beat and jalop).

I forget who said it (might have been Bob Lutz), but the line was something like, "we sold one to every pool cleaner in America, and then there was no market left." That always stuck with me...it seems like more people would want something like this.

My friend's dad is a Mopar man and he's got one of these—with a capper. It runs but hasn't been on the road for a while.

My friend had one in high school. We sealed the bed filled it with ice and turned it into a rolling beer cooler. We even installed a drain plug.

My cousin had one when he was in high school. I must have been about 11 or so. I remember it was black with the 80s-tastic red velour interior. Just like this, but automatic:

Supposedly if you put enough stuff in the bed, the car weighs down pretty quick and can't drive (fwd pick up, who would have thought?)
